You won't believe how easy it is to make beautiful glamorous faux gemstone jewelry!
Step 1
Prepare your glass by wiping with a lint free cloth. Be sure your hands are free of lotions.
Step 2
Stir the paint you wish to use using a wood craft stick. Even if you're creating your own custom mixed color, it's important to stir the paint thoroughly as the pigments will settle in the bottom of the bottle. Your mixed paint can be stored in an airtight container for future use.
Step 3
Place the glass flat side up in your palm. Using a soft flat head artificial bristle paint brush, apply Bella Paint generously and evenly by lightly dragging the brush across the glass surface.
Once coated with Bella Paint, allow the glass to air dry at room temperature for 24-48 hours. Drying time may take longer in cool or humid environments.
I use a folded piece of paper to help me place it on a piece of sturdy cardboard.
Step 4
Once the paint is completely dry, place paint-side-up on a baking sheet or other oven proof surface and be sure the glass pieces are not touching each other. The painted surfaces should not touch anything.
Place baking sheet in cool oven and heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. At 30 minutes, turn off the oven and crack the door for it to cool. Remove from the oven when the glass has reached a safe temperature.
Step 5
Trim or punch the correct or near correct size of Glamour Stickies for your glass shapes.
Remove one protective cover from the Glamour Stickies and press to the flat side of the glass. Press firmly to ensure good contact with the glass. Trim excess Glamour Stickies form around the glass, if necessary.
Remove the second protective cover from the Glamour Stickies and press firmly into the jewelry setting.
Repeat as needed with remaining pieces.
